My new boss told me that I don't have to work overtime because my skills are not good enough for the company to pay overtime.
I used to help out everyone else when new projects were in but since he said so, I have been going home at 4:30 for the last 7 months while everyone else had to stay late.
Apparently my colleagues have been complaining and today I was called in by my new boss' boss. He asked me why I never stayed late to help anymore so I told him what my new boss said.
This afternoon, my new boss said he never said such a thing. I'm wondering if he is trying to "save" me from all the fatigue of working 58 hrs a week (well he does sound nice and kind of flirty) or he is just untrustworthy like most people up there?
For the life of me I can swear to you I don't drink wine before work but now I think I should start doing so.
