Like "ur", "lyke", and "hott"? It's not clever and it's getting really old...and irritating. It promotes illiteracy. People make the excuse "because it saves time", but HOW DO YOU SAVE TIME BY TYPING "LYKE" AND "HOTT"? I mean, maybe it was cool back in the 80's because then it was new, like with Prince spelling the to's in his song titles with 2's, but now it just looks so pathetic. It's the type of crap that appeals to those people who still say "da bomb" and dot their I's with hearts.
