Before I begin my details, here's a disclaimer:
I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan. HUGE. Own the books, the DVDs, some bookmarks, those extra library books she wrote, AND I'm overseeing the planning and organisation of a release party for the 7th book.
Now onto the question:
I often see HP fans all gather on online communities and go, "OMGOSH what's going to happen in the next book/movie?!?" and they all start up rumors and stories and theories and then when the book actually comes out they all turn around and go, "OMGOSH don't tell me ANYTHING!"
Like I know that guessing is way different than actually knowing, but what if you guess and then it turns out you're right? Then the book feels spoilt because it confirmed what you guessed and therefore didn't present anything different.
Personally, as a big HP fan, I'd rather just sit back and relax until the book actually comes out, cuz then I can enjoy it 100% without weird theories running around in my head.
What do you think?
