okay so i've seen everyone be all like.. ahh theres no "punk rock" lovee songs. well then i dont know what im looking for. i want a modern upbeat love song thats isnt all mushy but is kinda cute. obviously about love. but im having trouble because i just dont know where to start. please just try and help!!??? thanks a tonn =]

I'm trying to find a song, which I believe is called "I see the World". Have heard it on the radio a few times recently (in South africa) but no idea if its a new one or old one. The chorus has the line "I see the world through different eyes since I've been alone with you". Any ideas?

I'm looking into adding to my CD collection but don't know much about most bands. As such, does anyone have any reccomendations?

I'm not a fan Dance, R'n'B and Hip-Hop because they irritate the life out of me as does Pop, Reggie, and most novelty items.

Although I do like some songs from these genres, for the most part I doubt I'd include them in my CD collection because the songs I like are far too small in number to warrent the effort.

I'm looking into more Rock/Metal bands but am open to other ideas.

Bands I do like include Within Temptation, Evanesance, Nickleback, Linkin Park (but minus the annoying Jay-Z remixes that, in my opinion, ruined some decent songs), Muse, Metallica, Rammstein. I'm looking for more of the same.

I'm interested in getting some Alice Cooper and Pink Floyd albums but it's all a matter of where to begin.

It is mostly dance music and it keeps saying, "and the beat goes on... and the beat goes on... the beat goes", then more music. It is not the Whispers. Also I am trying to find who sings, Unexpected lovers, also dance from the 80s.

Was John Lennon as good as he is made out to be?
John Lennon wrote some ultra-personal stuff that was interesting but not necessarily good music. "Mother," "God (the acoustic one is great, but the studio one is...not).
"I feel so suicidal just like Dylan's Mr. Jones" is a horribly pathetic line. (Yer Blues, White Album). The song would've been better without the Dylan thing.

Lastly, does anyone else think John would've been better without the whole "artiste" thing?

Is John a better musician than:

Paul?
George?
Bob Dylan?


...Morrissey?

I'm in high school now and I've recently been thinking about quitting the violin. I've been playing for 6 years, and I've had 4 years of private lessons. I bought a $3,000 violin last year, thinking I would play it for the whole time in high school, but now I never practice becuase I'm soo lazy that I don't even take my instrument out of its case. I have stopped private lessons for now.....
I hate practicing (most of the time), and playing at school is kinda boring. BUT there are a few moments when I feel connected with the music and I really get into it and enjoy it...this happens rarely.
So is it worth continuing? Or should I just stop, which will disappoint my teachers and parents?

The TV is on, and an infomercial for a DVD set of the TV series "The Midnight Special" which was on in the 1970s and featured live performances; Blonde, KC and the Sunshine Band, Tom Petty, BB King, Roy Orbison, Rod Stewart, James Brown, Linda Rhonstat, Tina Turner, Cheap Trick, and also commedians like Steve Martin....

Anyway, have you seen this DVD? Is it worth buying?

In the video, it was like in a Cabaret or something, it came out in 2006, I believe. It showed one skinny pale girl with a blonde afro. It seemed like two guys were fighting for her and she kept flirting with both. Then a bunch of weird people in cabaret costumes started dancing. I don't remember the name if the group or anything, just that one part in the chorus the vocalist kept repeating "jealousy"...,
