Help! I am forced with a VERY HARD DESISION. I am in 6th grade and am currently in orchestra (chorus is NOT an option for sixth grade, its either orchestra, band, or studyhall) My orchestra teacher just passed out a form for us to fill out on what we want to do next year. Here are the choices:

A. Orchestra
B. Band
C. Chorus
D. Orchestra & Chorus
E. Band & Chorus
F. Studyhall

Here's the thing I want to do chorus and orchestra but here's the con side. We have to split our time in the week between the two. Here's an example:

Week 24:
Mon. Tues. Wed. Thurs. Fri.
Orch. Chorus Orch Chorus Orch
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

On the days we have orchestra we miss chorus and vice versa. The kink is that i won't be as good as the full-time orchestra people or chorus people. I will miss some of class too. I really don't know what to do. If I pick chorus, (cont)

I just started playing the cornet, I've been playing the trumpet for about 8 years now but I have to play a cornet for the youth brass band that I'm in on thursdays. Well I'm having some problems keeping my lips together for long periods and hitting higher pitches above the scale. Does anyone have any tips or advice they can give me on how I can improve???
