Song's about 20 years old. Driving me nuts trying to figure out who by and the title...

Starts with:
Do you remember once upon a time?
You were mine.
When all the stars were shiny new (I think..)
I took them down for you.
Chorus goes:
Baby
That's just the way it is, baby

Im guessing at the names of their hits but I think they were 1) Cry (the refrain is cry -please don't ) 2) Platinum halo (refrain is"your platinum halo is making my hair superman blue") and lastly the song I am truly seeking 3) Move on (pick up the pieces and move on) any help on band names or actual song titles would be gratly appreciated.

I know about Marshall Jefferson –
House Music Anthem, 'Move Your Body'

Who are some other Chicago Style Artistis prior to 1988 who relied on Heavy Piano Riffs and not a lot of vocals?

Reason I ask is:
Back in 1988, I joined the Air Force and was in Tech school where one of the other airmen was playing a home made tape of some music that he described as HOUSE. This airman was from Chicago and he told me the artist playing was also from Chicago. What's more is the music he was playing didn't sound like what people call "House" these days. What I was hearing had some natual sounding Piano and it was really good! In fact, every-so-often, I hear a bit of that same stuff barrowed in other people's music.

Anybody have any idea of what I'm talking about????????

Mary Clayton hadn't been singing back up on it? She rocked those vocals! If you listen really hard, when she sings (screams) "Murder!!" you can actually hear Mick Jagger say: Whoa!!

My old roommate used to listen to this rap song set to the melody of the Ants Go Marching. I don't remember must of the lyrics except the rapper mentions the word Koopa (possibly talking about himself), and part of the lyrics were "I'm true, I'm true".
