Well, it ain't exactly free but it is totally legal. eMusic sells tracks at around $.25 each (My plan gets me 65 for $15 amonth). Since symphonies tend to be 4-movements, I pay $1 for an hour or more of music. That's a deal. Last month I got the Grammy winner - Michael Tilton Thomas & the S.F. Symphony doing Mahler's 7th or 9th (don't remember which one won, got them both)

So, for the cost of $1 you can sleep nights without waking up in a cold sweat, thinking you hear the heavy beat of goose-stepping RIIA attorneys on the front steps. Otherwise, buy the LP's (they're pretty cheap, used) and rip that vinyl to a hard drive.
