Best: Simply Reds-Holding back the Years
The best doesnt mean that they did it better but kept the integrity of the original recording.

i am truly curious about peoples opinons on this song...
the song is wishlist by pearl jam and its from the album Yield (came out in 1998)
and i would appreciate answers from people who have heard the song and who want to comment honestly on whether or not you like it... or from people who have not heard it and are willing to listen to it.
i am simply looking for opinons on this song..

Most of the music I like is from the 80s, with some of my fave bands including Depeche Mode, New Order, The Smiths, Erasure, OMD... you get the idea. Yet many of my friends who are into music say the 80s music scene was dreadful and "the age musical taste was abandoned". Yet I think it is great.
What do you think? I make specific reference to New Romanticism, synthpop and electronic music, and the Manchester scene.
