I've been reading all these articles and hearing on radio and TV about how terrible Britney Spears was at the VMA's. Now I didn't see the performance and have not seen video. I've only seen still shots from the performance. Now I've heard the performance was atrocious. I can't comment on that, and maybe she looked worse in motion, but I gotta say, I think she looked kinda hot in the pictures. She definitely doesn't have the body of the "Oops I Did It Again" days, but for a mom... she's lookin pretty good to me. Anyone agree?

I stumbled across this picture, and it does look like Brittney could have had a broken heel on her boot, which obviously would inhibit her ability to dance. I would even go so far as to say it could have happened when she did that little stumble thing at the beginning of the act. Now just imagine your Britt, you've had all this crap you've been going through in your personal life, you're nervous as heck about a comeback performance, and your damn heel breaks. Wouldn't that just ruin you're overall performance and make you just wanna scream F-ck it and give up(we all saw moments when she didn't even bother lip-synching). I think it could explain alot, perhaps all shouldn't be so quick to judge. What do you guys think about the possible heel scenario?

Spears was all wack on Sunday at the VMA's....right? She should have been better prepared and in better shape if she really wanted to make a comeback...I mean, her body was in good shape for having two kids, but damn...with all the money she has, she should have been in better shape....what does everyone else think?

when i heard all the fuss i expected to see a truly shambolic performance but it wasnt that bad i dont think. sure she was hardly moving around the stage much, doing little to cover the fact she was lip syncing and her performance had no omph in it that we are use to seeing but i have seen worse. also i dont think shes over weight at all..ok so she aint as toned as we are use to seeing her but i wouldnt mind having a figure like that.

The poor girl has gone through so much and everyone judges her so quickly.

You can tell she was just tired and thats why her performace wasn't chopped full of energy like it once was. She was probably pushed for a comeback and she wasn't quite ready for it.

Everyone has hard times, don't laugh or poke fun of her...cuz one day you won't want it to happen to you.

She needs more time to heal, and one day she'll be back to her old self but much better!

Anyone feel the same, or are you all out there to get her?

The sun regularly runs her down for the slightest little thing. One time she came out of a restaurant with a small stain on her blouse and they wrote a story about it with loads of photos! How interesting! She hasn't done anything to hurt any of us and yet it seems everybody wants to stick the boot in.

she talks to that dude like he's a moron, granted it's Billy Ray Cyrus, but as a kid to a parent, I'd knock that funky tooth growing out of the side of her head straight to Canada. And when is she going to turn off that synthesizer to show the "kiddies" that she sings as well as a donkey with strep throat? It was only until recently when The Cascades were going to make a live performance here in Manila that I discovered that they were still alive. My mom heard of a rumor back in the 60's that they died in a plane crash. I just want to verify if this was a widespread rumor since I couldn't find it elsewhere on the Internet.

I don't wish to offend anyone but I have read sensible reviews of Pavarottis' life and his singing career (without doubt a brilliant voice)has been in decline for some years before last week.Other stars who were failing until dying include Marc Bolan,Elvis,Marvin Gaye who are now revered. I'm sure there are many more.

We all know her performance was horrible to the umpteenth degree, but now everyone's made a big debate over it.

We have the Britney fans and sympathizers who feel sorry for her because "she's two years out of practice and was really nervous"... the fans who are buying into the rumor/excuse that Britney "overheard Sarah Silverman's set and was distraught before performing"... the people who want everyone to "cut her some slack and let her get her groove back because she's had such a hard life and so many things to deal with recently."

Then we have people like me, who admittedly USED to be Britney fans (I was 10 years old when her first album dropped), but are now disgusted by her lack of professionalism, talent, and any kind of role model quality.

I want to know, from you Britney fans and sympathizers:
What in the world makes her worthy of your support? Who are these strange, delusional people who make up her fanbase nowadays?
