Do you treat the comment "See you later" literally?

I think I have found a dating loop hole. When I am shopping I choose an attractive girl at the cash register - usually as they give me the receipt for my Star Wars figurines and adult diapers they will say "see you later". All you have to do to close the deal is reply "ok, I'll pick you up after work" and then loiter around the front entrance for a few hours.
If they say "have a nice day" you have to work a bit harder and reply "only if you marry me".
Out of 10 attempts I have scored twice, with 3 no-shows and only 5 arrests - I'll let the record speak for itself.
