I think it would be, because one of the top arguments and reasons for divorce is finances. I think when a man gives his wife or girlfriend an allowance, knowing that it is hers to spend on whatever she wants, it sets up a good structure and will end many financial arguments. Women like to spend money on things that guys think are unecessary, too expensive, or wasteful. However, when she spends money set aside for her own fancies (allowance), it should not bug him in the slightest. Plus, giving women an allowance makes them act more submissive and sweet because if they are bad, the allowance can be decreased. This means more peace and less arguments. Everyone wins. What do you all think?
