I can't remember the name of the movie or enough details to share. It may have only been on cable. It started with one little boy not speaking and progressed to a nation and then to the rest of the world's children. In the film there was a sports superstar that took up the childs cause and he was killed in the film by a prominant business man. The most memorable line in the film - towards the end was something in reference to the end of war /and or the arms race, "Yes, but wouldn't it be nice" or something to that effect.
I'd love to own a copy of this film for myself and for my own children to see. I have spoken those same words for more than 20 years and it seems even more fitting now....
