What do you consider the turning point to where hip hop started to get real lame?

I blame it on the rise of No Limit Records - them Cash Money, along with all the other garbage these labels dumped on us. But if you could pinpoint one song that turned the corner for hip hop from cool to lame, what would it be, and why?
