So what's the appeal with Sanjay Malakhar?

Well he's being compared to hearthrobs of the 70's David Cassidy of the Patridge Family The King of Pop in his early career Michael Jackson . He's sure not the greatest singer but he has appeal no other male American Idol has...

Girls from ages to 11 to 18 think he's the cutest thing they have ever seen. A 70's Front Page person for Tiger Beat Magazine

Doesn't say much for Pop Star Justin Timberlake

So what's the appeal? Is long shaggy hair back? Maybe? I was a David Cassidy Fan Myself!
Thoughts?

YES! He just has "something" about him! I'm up in my 20's and I see it! It probably mostly the teens but so what? they buy a lot of music.
Its the hair, the smile, the eyes, the sweetness from this kid! He is a pretty good singer, not the greatest but he has more than that, and yes, I would compare him to the 70's hear-throbs (although I remember Sean Cassidy)

Obviously the young girl isn't there to judge how sanjaya sings. She's there as a fan and must be very happy just like anybody of us who'd see our idols. Crying, for us adults is ridiculous, but for a little girl it's just an expression.

We can't question why she became a fan of him because everybody has different preferences.

The appeal was he is cute and the fan was a very young girl. I think she was just overwhelmed and emotional aboutt seeing and hearing him in person. We have all been there. Been really crazy about some celeb and when we look back it all seems so silly. The camera's did seem to show her a lot and that seem weird to me.

That girl was a make-a-wish kid and she cried the whole time. She was just very excited to be there. I do not see any appeal to Sanjay either, I find him painful to look at and more painful to listen to him sing. He must have looked at that Farrah Fawcet poster one too many times before getting that haircut.

According to tv guide the girl didnt originally have tickets to the show, but she was at the dress rehersals and started crying there. The producers saw her sobbing and then gave her and her family tickets so they could come to the actual show. Apparently Sanjaya is one of her 4 favorites... umm.. well. maybe her ear drums arent fully developed yet?!

I don't know why anyone would compare him to Michael Jackson because he is not good looking or talented!!

I don't see it at all. He looks like a gay Michael Jackson(when he was younger, of course!). His hair is disgusting and annoying. Little girls that think he's cute have no taste whatsoever. He just bugs me!

I'm guessing it's cuz he has a babyface, which I could see why girls go crazy for.

I'm just going from what I see, not what I hear.

Also, I cracked up when that girl cried. I had a good laugh.
