The basics I took from the movie was:
Freedom isn't free. The free Spartans are under threat from the dark, anti-freedom, soulless Persians. Even if it is unpopular, the decider King goes to war anyway. If you don't support sending more troops you are a traitor. The weak hunchback (liberal) Spartan tries to use "reason" but is also a traitor. Oh yeah, and freedom isn't free.

Did Karl Rove leak this script to Hollywood?
