so far, the main character woke up and found that no one is there, and no bodies. he tries to find his gf, on the way, he finds a squirrel, names the squirrel pete, finds people, befriends the people, finds out his parents might be eaten by canniballs and goes with his best friend to find his parents. They are okay.
That's just the main details...
I want to answer the question of what happened to mostly everybody. I want the squirrel to be important. I was thinking about something to do with aliens, but I'm open to suggestions. it's for my ninth grade english class so keep it pg rated. Creative answers are best.

It was on tv back in the late 80s I think...

There was a girl who would keep her window open and play the Sesame Street theme and it kept attracting this monkey from outside... I think she had a deaf brother.. And at the end of the movie, they shoot the monkey and the deaf kid screams (which is like, a big thing).

I know it's kind of cryptic but that's all I remember.
Any one have any clue at all about this one?

most of the manga scans sites that i found on msn groups had manga scans that were not big enough to read the texts. I am grateful to find wonderful sites that translate manga for the public viewing, but the unreadable size of the text kind of spoils it.

I mean, I want sites where you don't need to download anything. just click and open webpages with the manga pages right there.
