I recently started learning a flogging molly song(black friday rule) which is quite a bit faster than anything Ive played before. Im playing the chords on an acoustic and using a heavy pick(I was breaking too many mediums). When I play it I can rarely make it through more than one and a half verses with out losing my pick.

Ive tried holding it tighter but it gets caught up in the strings. Then I tried holding it more loosely but I ended up losing it faster.

Is there something Im doing wrong? How can I stop loosing my pick?

Do you hate when........?

You answer a question on YA and the person asking the question gets mad about your answer(even down to yes or no answers), emails you leaving smart remarks but when you try to email them back you can't because they don't allow emails or im!
