The special effects(about an 8) were good but if i was a critic i would give the acting a small 4!! i thought these people acted better??!!

OK so I like Nicolas Cage but I did not like this movie. The visual effects were all right, but the actors did an awful job. It was really hokey. Also it was PG-13 as was X-men's, Spider man's and Superman which my 3 year old son are hooked on, so we brought him. I wish I would have known that the visual effects were going to be so frightening. For crying out loud they sell Ghost Rider action figures in the toys for kids. This was a bad one for me on several levels.

I don't think it was the best of the comic book adaptations, but it wasn't the worst. (by the way, IMHO Hellboy = best and Fantastic Four = worst. With Spiderman getting bonus points for coolest costume.)
I thought Peter Fonda made a horrible Mephistopholese. Nick Cage was pretty good, I always like him even if his performace is pretty much always the same. (Except for Matchstick Men and Adaptation where he was really good and not recognizable as Nick Cage.)
The elementals were pretty cool.
I thought the whole part where the original (horseback) ghost rider saves his "last change" just so he can show Nick Cage where the bad guys are was pretty dumb. Umm... why not use your last change to actually fight the bad guys?

Most of the problems in changing a comic book or graphic novel into a movie is that the characters have to be developed before you can delve into the plot. I enjoyed the movie and some of the subtle references. When I was a kid I collected the original series from Marvel. If you go to a movie for the acting you might be missing the sheer entertainment of it. I agree on the effects.

Nick Cage has always been a poor actor. The movie was crap with good CGI, but big deal, all CGI is good these days.

it sucked, i mean one time in the movie the ghostrider kills some dude in the water he's fire how can he kills him i give the movie 3 stars

it was a good movie i definetely enjoyed it,the acting was not that great but then again superhero movies are meant to entertain,i don't think many actors take superhero roles very seriously
