No, but a teacher tried to scare me once when she saw me eating an apple, seeds, stem and all by telling me that the seeds would get lodged in my appendix and I'd have to be rushed to the hospital for an emergency appendectomy.

I was told that about apple seeds, but my brother told me that if I swallowed chewing gum it would wrap itself round my heart and squash it!!! My nan also told me if I cried too much that I would get holes in my cheeks like a sponge!

You can only swallow lemon pips if you eat a raw lemon and who would eat a raw lemon. My mummy told me if I swallowed apple pipsan apple tree would grow in my tummy.

I only heard that if you swallow a watermelon seed, a watermelon will grow in your stomach. Of course, that is not true.

yeah.... but i was only like 2 and i believed it, then started panicking because i had swallowed one and thought i was going to die i didn't sleep for 2 days.
