Is learning to play the guitar through a teacher better than teaching yourself when first starting out?

I have an acoustic guitar and have been aching to learn for some time. I want to play well enough to sit down of an evening and just play what is in my heart, so I am just wondering what experience everyone has in the learning to play field, and if anyone has any good pointers. Thank you! xxx

Are the manga scenes from the anime FLCL (Fooly Cooly) are an actual manga, or just drawn in a manga style?

I'm talking about the scenes where it slips into a black and white style that looks like drawn pages of a manga comic book. Are they actual pages from a published manga, or just invented for the series? Thanks!

What does everyone think of 'Heroes'??

I think it's really good! The Nikki one is a bit freaky though! Unsure how that could help - maybe she's just one of the bad ones? I'm only on episode 7 at the moment - my boyfriend downloaded it and we're watching it together. What does everything think of it and the parts each of them play?

Heroes, what happened the last 10 minutes?

I seen up to the point where Claire ejects "radioactive man" with tranquilizer. I know Bennet's boss knows of Claires power. What happened after that? I can't watch on the episode on my computer. Please help!!!
