I'm talking about the scenes where it slips into a black and white style that looks like drawn pages of a manga comic book. Are they actual pages from a published manga, or just invented for the series? Thanks!

According to my sources FLCL Manga came after the anime series. The manga and chibi scenes in the series were done as a form of satire; an idiom prevalent through out this great series.

I have not personally seen the manga but most fans agree they do not do the series Justice

Cheers :-)

I'm not really sure what that was intended for. It might just be for the show, but it might have come from the magna. I haven't read the magna yet, but I do love the show.
