Rock will rise again, won't it?

Ok well here is the history of rock...rise,fall,rise,fall,rise,fall,rise,fall,fall,fall ok now I am so hoping that history will repeat itself but rock has been going downhill for the past 16 years BEFORE I WAS BORN ok and now I mean rock has been kept afloat by bands like Disturbed, Motley Crue, and recently partially Velvet Revolver. I'm just wondering will rock return to be as great as it became in the late 80s, or is it going to be killed by rap(takes no talent AT ALL) and emo(why do you want to here I WAN"T TO KILL MYSELF over and over)... please enlighten me with what you think.

How do i reduce the resolution of pictures in photoshop? Or maybe i should try it in coraldraw in stead?

I´ve tried reducing the image size from 300 pixels/inch to 72pixels/inch, and then re-saving it (Save As). But it hasnt seemed to work yet...any ideas on what im doing wrong?
