this bum came up to me and said "Alte kannst du Mir ein paar Euro spenden" which is basicly how the bums ask for money here, so I said "Fick dich Penner!" which is a rather impolite way of sayng no. He got upset and dropped his beer, and I walked off...

Is there any truth in theis stereotype? I am asking this again, in a slightly different way!
People responded quite aggressively to my suggestion that the hype about Star wars was not shared by myself and possibly others. It also seems to be mostly men who are excited by the movie. Why could this be? I'm just tryling to understand the phenomena? It has been suggested to me that men have few subjects they can communicate comfortably about...star-wars is one such 'comfortable' topic!
Are we to believe that men really are a slave to their own masculinity?

I'm an idea man. Providence has blessed me with an inquisitive mind, what can I say? It just occured to me that the best place to pick up chicks is outside a male strip club. I mean, every woman exiting is hot and bothered, am I right? I topped half of a whole wheat bagel w/ smart deli soy "pepperoni", spaghetti sauce, cheddar cheese, and crushed red pepper, w/ a side of carrots and lite ranch, some red grapes, and apple juice. for dessert, i split a bowl of tropical flavored sherbert w/ frozen rasberries w/ my hubby.

I'm American film buff, and it seems very sad to me that most Americans just refuse to read subtitles; there are so many great foreign films. I just saw Tsotsi (from South Africa) -- it was absolutely brilliant. Have you seen any good non-English language films recently?
