I am in Advanced Placement U.S. History. And yes, sometimes we need a break. And i am doing this exact worksheet now. And honestly, the directions are so vague, its mindblowing. Also, I have 4 books to read by February 13th and two projects due by February 9th. In this class.
So, thank you for asking this because it helps so much to get a break for once.

you need to do your homework yourself. start by looking in your textbook for answers you might be surprised to learn what is in there if you would take the time to read it. next i would try the encyclopedia, there are numerous subjects in there and of course there is the Internet with a wealth of information at your fingertips. instead of using your time typing your long question out and expecting someone else to come up with the answers you need to use your own mind to do this on your own. when you are finished you will have a sense of pride in your accomplishment. it's an awesome feeling.

okay guy's... time for somebody to finally lend a helping hand... sometimes we all need a break.
Western Mining: It created more jobs and generated more money for the US economy, and led to the creation of many more factories as iron and many other metals began becoming more used in the railroad industry. produced more raw resources for major industries
Immigration: created a new, cheap, workforce that grew cities and worked in factories and mines.
Government Subsidies and Tax Concessions to railroads: expanded transportation. connected distant towns with big business Firms. allowed for the faster transport of goods, raw materials, and products. gave immense wealth and power to railroad companies.
Advances in Communication:allowed for faster transport of information. impacted fields like Journalism, Banking, and diplomacy.
Corporation Charters: Corporate charters helped american industrialism by being separate legal entities in which individuals could be share holders.
Laissez Faire attitude of government: allowed businesses (and monopolies) to run without much interference from government on any aspect of it's system. even in working conditions and wages. (capitalistic)
Bessemer Process: made steel much more acquirable. increased the steel industry. steel began to replace iron. increased the might of the US (military). improved the US's standing against the world.
New Sources of Power: it increased output efficiency and allowed them to make products cheaper for consumers. began replacing older power sources/methods
High Tariffs: protected US manufacturing and capital by increasing the price of imported goods (controversial) allowed home grown companies/firms to grow enough to compete with other nations well established companies/firms.
Yankee Ingenuity: led to the creation of many different inventions that increased productivity, transportation, communication, and a variety of other (more specific) things.
Entrepreneurs: lead the nation's shift to industrialization. They made the industries more efficient, set fair prices for their products, and accumulated large amounts of wealth for themselves through their efforts (sometimes)
Vertical and Horizontal integration: the terms for the two different types of monopoly takeovers. one being controlling (owning) all the steps from the raw material collection to the marketing and distribution. the other is owning all of one product's industry (such as Rockefeller and oil). monopolies normally operated under these types of systems.
National Markets: goods could be shipped from across the country, changing from local markets to national one. began with the railroad industry.
Civil War Profits and Foreign investment: civil war profits greatly accelerated growth and industry. foreign investments helped earn capital during the time of, and after, the civil war.
this is for the future APUSH kids who are over worked and could use a break, i wish i had one, but i had to look all this **** up and use prior knowledge. it might not all be 100% what they need, but i hope it helps.
