For example, "Peruse" means to scrutinize carefully, but enough people use it to mean "Skim," so now that's an accepted usage. "Irregardless" recently made its way into the dictionary, even though it's not a word.

Does anyone know any other incorrectly used words that have become acceptable due to sheer repetition?

im creating a hero, a partner hero, and i cant find a good name.
my character is just like robin from batman in every way, only change his suit to a waiters outfit,(dont give me a name on that though), and he is a side kick,

my villain is a red guy with blue armor, kind of like mega man he has fire powers and weres a blue helmet that looks like a skull with 3 horns on it, he also weres a cape.

i gota wrap up my english paper and hand it in online in a couple hours, but i gota major writers block.

my paper is about how the words n*gga and n*gger are different in meaning because of the origins and usage. i wrote about that and how black people keep using it and then claiming it is still derrogatory but its ours.

what else can i put in here to make up for a loss of 200 or so words?

my frnd had put on his msn name as "sopezube pihopego"which means "i really like you elaina"...it was sumink to do with anagrams and japanese character and i was supposed to solve it but he ended up just giving it to me...but this time he has added some more words and i am not gud with these and he says he's not gonna tell me this time at all and i rele want to know..can u plz solve "smaech thetat chisam yuhrot"..it's related to tht anagram b4 i think and he said he has made it simpler and i think this time he has only used anagrams..pple please help wht does it mean?

First of all, I used to have junk food at night when I was in the army and even now. I could not stop eating until I feel satisfied when I have supper. I have never worried about my weight.
