Why don't you add on that every race has derogatory names attached to them? Or that if you seek it hard enough you can find a derogatory label to attach to anyone based on the race, religion, sex and any handicaps they may have...? That labels are just words and the insult if any, is with the interpretation you yourself place on them.

The trite and cliched response is usually the intent behind the two words; n*gga is a term of endearment while n*gger is a term of revile.

But I am going to be quite honest with you, there is no real difference between the words; the above response is a cop out. The origins are exactly the same, from Latin niger, nigra, the word for black (e.g. the countries NIGER and NIGERia).

The same with the word *****, Spanish for black. Over the course of history of the U.S., the vernacular changed the stress of the pronunciation of the word from NAY-GRO (Spanish) to NEE-GRO (American English).

I'm looking at your thesis statement of your essay (i.e. the line, "...how black people keep using it and then claiming it is still derrogatory but its ours) and I don't understand what you mean by "but its ours". You may want to flesh out your thesis statement.

To answer your other question, take race out of your thesis and focus on the paradox between variations of words with the same intent behind them. You can find this all the time with expletives.

Caray vs. Caramba
F*ck vs. friggin
Hell vs. Hades

And so on

Good luck, though bullsh*ttin only gets you so far.

If you're good at BSing then why do you need our help?

Personally, I find that word(s) disgusting and ignorant.

Why don't you use *****, too.
