Why is only 400Hz electrical supply used in aircrafts. Why not 100, 200, 600 Hz. On what bassis has the figure of 400 Hz arrived at. None of the aircrafts communication, navigation equipments work below 100 Khz so the question of interfernce does not rise.

My son just went in to the 7th grade, he has severe developmental delays (mentally retarded), I was officially told on his IEP that he would never be able to get a high school diploma in the state of California. Just a certificate of completion. This has got to be a violation of the disability acts. My son's teacher told me that she agreed but she's required to notify me of this on the IEP. She said hopefully this will be over turned by the time he graduates. Still bull, anyone have thoughts on the subjuct?

I volunteer at a special school and also i help these kids. The teacher said that i am a good helper and i work very hard. I love these kids. I understand them because i myself have special needs. The kids in the class have autism,deafness, and it is mostly a non-verbal class. The class is low functioning. I have mild mental retardation but it will not stop me from doing what i want to do. It will be the second school year for me to be helping at the special school. This school is the school that i have got special services from them that they serve soo many schools. I have got services for 9 years. from that schools services. I went to a regular school but in the school i had special ed. classes.
I am working on my 2nd language and that is american sign language. I have my own cell phone. Because we have mild mental retardation does not mean we are dumb or anything, we just have harder time doing things. Our life is a obstacle course. WE have to try extra hard to do things.

I had a normal birth and the first year of my girls life were normal, yet now she is nearing 5 I reflect and know she is different she is diagnosed as having global developmental delay of 2years increasing from age 3(that b4 was 1yr) she does display autistic tendncies doc deny it autism yet she behave clairvoyantly and cannot read yet tells me a full title of a book!!she knows past stuff personal that I would never tell her n happened b4 she was even thought of!!she cruel t animals shows no empathy yet extremely affectionate any ideas what with my gift from god?also she has anxietys that change from week t month dogs/pigeons/sleep/ the main longstanding one is passing stools she has special education needs for lack of attentiveness n aggressiveness regarding change in routine and delay and also any lively boisterous atmospheres HELP

I have mild mental retardation and was diagnosed at age 5 or 6 years old. I have behavior problems and very immature, i act more like a 10 ,11, or 12 year old . I am 21 years old. I take ritalin for adhd. I am very hyper and i have the combined type and it is mild case.

A couple years ago i went and got this test done that checked for nerve damage in my ears. They found nerve damage in my left ear. My mom notice something was wrong when i was a baby. But they didn't know all of this. I have deafness. It is mild to moderate hearing loss, 40 to 50 db loss. db=decibels.


brainstem auditory evoked response (BAER) test - can diagnose hearing ability and can indicate the presence of brain stem tumors and multiple sclerosis. Electrodes are placed on the scalp and earlobes. Auditory stimuli, such as clicking noises and tones, are delivered to one ear.

That is the testing i had done.
I wear a hearing aid for my left ear.
