Introduction.
A part of a communication system is composed of a discrete source generator, a source encoder and a noisy channel.
Description of components.v
Source.
This is a discrete source that generates three symbols A, B, and C contiguously.
A sample of 1000 symbols was taken over a period of 1000 s and the following noted during this period:
symbol A occurred 600 times.
symbol B occurred 300 times.
symbol C occurred 100 times.
Source encoder.
This source encodes the symbols using Huffman encoding or block to block encoding.
Modulator.
Here the source encoded symbols are turned into binary symbols using 5V unipolar non return to zero rectangular pulses (TTL) and then sent over the channel.
Channel.
The channel is a binary symmetric channel is linear, has infinite bandwidth and adds noise. During tests on the channel binary data was transmitted at 1 Mbit/s for 1 hour where it was found that 1.8108 bits were incorrectly received.
Describe this system.

so i'm required to use a database source for my research paper. i found a good one- the source is from britannica encyclopedia.

but i was wondering HOW, exactly, you cite the source (MLA style)? if i was to just cite the britannica URL, then you wouldn't be able to tell that it was from a database!

i don't really get it, can someone expain this simply to me?

also, if it matters at all: the database is EBSCOhost.

please remember: MLA MLA MLA style!

thanks

When solving for x, show all operation steps followed by results of performing those operations (i.e., show that you are adding four to both sides, then on the next line show the result of that operation). When the line you’re typing is an equation, you should not start the line with an extra leading equals sign.

1. Name the property of real numbers illustrated below. Be specific with the naming (include “of addition” or “of multiplication,” if applicable).
7 + 13 = 13 + 7

2. Combine like terms:
7x2 + 9x – 4x2 – 2 + 6x – 2x2 + 8

3. Solve for x:
8x – 2 = -2x + 18

4. Solve for x:
2(2x – 5) + 1 = x – 8 – 5x

5. Solve for x:
(x – 7)/5 – 5/2 = (x + 9)/10

6. Translate to an algebra statement; do not solve:
Three times the difference of five and a twice a number yields the same result as the same number increased by four.

I need to find some research about uni and life at French, and then uni compare this to England for AS level French. (I do not not want to find out how I can actually go to uni in France myself!)
I also need some good websites about les grandes ecoles- what are the names of these, where are they etc?
Finally, some statistics about differences in careers between men and women and why? Again website links would be helpful.
