I'm looking for a reasonable restaurant, preferably in the west end, with roof top dining or particularly good al fresco dining.

I went to a posh restraunt in Leeds in the UK on Saturday night and We got a Starter and a Main course each and a bottle of wine to share and it came to £62. Then we went upstairs to the bar and i spent another £25. Was i robbed or does it sound like a fair price for a nice restraunt?

I am under the impression that an old law requires "inns and taverns" to furnish drinking water free of charge to travellers who request it, and that in recent years it has been determined that this service is still required to be provided by hotels, pubs restaurants etc. Those establishments that display signs such as "tapwater is not served here" would therefore be in contravention of this law. Can any lawyer advise me as to whether I am right or wrong?

Okay, this question isn't really about eating *out* per se, but is there a place in Edinburgh where Chinese groceries and imported Asian (= Chinese, Japanese, Korean) foodstuffs are sold? Maybe a Chinese supermarket or something like that?

I'm going there for a few months on an exchange programme next year! (But I don't fancy haggis or sandwiches or fish and chips or any of that Scottish and English grub. Curry is fine but I'll go on fire if I eat it every day!)

Can anyone suggest a good restaurant in Islington for dinner with my sister? We're not veggie and are happy to eat all sorts of world cuisine. Somewhere nice but not too expensive.

Any ideas???
