I already have the software and my psp is firmware version 1.50 and i want 2 upgrade but whenever i go to the update thing to upgrade, the menu isn't there. So, can any1 pls help me?

So I want to get a PSP for x-mas.
Does the system ONLY even come with headphones?
And how many songs does the memory hold without a memory card?
Is it worth it to get the starters kit with the psp, headphones, and 1GB memory card for $50 more?
Or should I just get.....the psp by itself....?

What are the hot games right now for Playstation 2? On my Christmas shopping list, I have a 40 year old male who likes combat or racing games and a 21 year old male that likes the sports games. Please don't answer get them a Playstation 3 because that is not an option.
