I don't know how long she had it in there because when I found it, she had already taken it out. It's a 300 dollar phone, we don't have a house phone, and I don't have insurance on it because I've never had problems with any of my previous phones. Whenever I turn it on it says "use genuwine battery. --power off-- then it counts down to 1 and freezes. I can't afford to buy a new one so I'm freaking out. I've already tried putting it in a bag of rice to draw all the moisture out, any other suggetions?

It was only going to be a matter of time before something like this happened. Someone decided to take their iPhone on a little jaunt to Europe, where he says he underwent "sporadic AT&T EDGE network usage off and on mixed with wifi when available." The bill waiting for him when he got home: three grand. (And I bet it was 40 pages long, too.)

Dave Stolte is hardly alone in the annals of absurd, accidental overseas charges, but as more and more people start traveling abroad with their iPhones, cases like this are going to become a lot more common, and fast. The iPhone is a chatty little device, constantly checking the network and calling home to the mothership, and iPhone users quickly get spoiled on its nifty data features, using them constantly to check the web, watch videos, etc. (In fairness: You do have to call AT&T first and ask for international roaming to be unlocked for this to work at all.)

Those little charges add up fast. $0.02 per kilobyte sounds pretty cheap, right? WRONG. Do the math: A 1-megabyte web page (a very common size) costs almost twenty bucks to open. 20. Dollars. Whoa. Seriously. (Thanks to Portfolio for helping out with our collective multiplication, and noting that there are various rate plans available, going down to $.005 per KB, which would still be about $5 per megabyte.)

I have a samsung e900 and want to put some pics onto a account on myearbook.

* Email doesn't seem to work - don't know why. If it gives me the option to why doesn't it work. I have credit in the phone and the internet works.

* Can I use bluetooth?

* What about 'Multimedia Message'?

* And I got a cable with my phone. I think it's USB so why can I connect my phone to the computer and can I upload the pics by it?

Help!

I need to know if I can go through the provider or if it would be best to try to record it with a handheld recorder. Any help would be appreciated. Also if it makes a difference the carrier is Verizon Wireless.

I have had it for two years this month. It is an LG1300i phone and I have service through Cingular/AT&T

I turned the phone on this morning and at first it said "Enter code". I entered a code that I used for when I clear minutes on my phone etc. It didn't work. I turned the phone off again and I turned it on and it said "Insert card".

What does that mean? Should I just take it up to the Cingular store today? At the end of this month I am qualified for a free phone anyway.

Oh, and I do not have a house phone, I only have a cell phone to call, so I cannot call customer support.

I understand they change alot and stuff, but the people I know don't even have a house phone, instead they have cell phones. I understand also privacy, but they don't ask your permission to put your house number in the phone book, so why wouldn't they put cell numbers in?

Anyone else noticing the rise in bots on Yahoo Answers lately who just do advertising? Three names I have found so far are saras w, Truman C, and Ina P. They answer hundreds of questions, all with the same generic answer like "i have tried this new site and love it - http://..............." Isn't this illegal in some way? What doesn't Yahoo Answers ban these advertisers? So far I have just found them all in "laptops" and "cellphone and plans" forums on any topic asking for the ebst laptop to buy or any topic mentioning the word ringtones.

This sort of activity degrades the quality and value of Yahoo Answers and needs to be halted or surely one day we will be over run with advertisers and spammers!

What do you all think?

I've heard there's one for $50/mo. for 300 minutes but I don't get why anyone would get that when you can get 300 minutes for 29.99 on T-Mobile. That T-Mobile plan is my current plan but I wanted to know if there are any cheaper plans out there for Verizon because the friend I talk to most uses Verizon so we would have mobile-to-mobile (she can't change to mine because she has a family plan).

Anyway, I mainly just wanted to know all the options I had for prepaid plans. I can't find any info on their site. Thanks.

Even we can work on our office documents, Outlook,etc. exactly what we do on our computer in Windows.

internet capability is nice but not the most necessary. I need good phone reception and as I said a nice planner function . Those are the 2 most important items the phone must have everything else is gravy. I can get any of these..which is best iyo? Get ready for it!....MOTO Q,RIM BlackBerry 8703,RIM BlackBerry 7130e,Palm Treo 700wx,HTC Mogul PPC-6800,Palm Treo 755, Palm treo 700 and BlackBerry 8830 World Edition

I know this is a large selection for you all to wade thru. Maybe you can just tell me what you have and how you like it? all reviews I see talk about the windows capabilities and email and mp3 and all. As I said I my main concern is planner/phone with email /text as a bonus. THANK YOU ALL for helping me make sense of such a confusing purchase!
