I work for AT&T but I have a T-Mobile account. Now this is purely because I'm a cheapster and didn't want to fork out the money for their expensive price plans. I have had both services and they're great but AT&T is (at least in the area I live in) by far the superior service. Keep in mind that AT&T will rent service from T-Mobile towers so that you get service everywhere, but it really depends on where you are. AT&T isn't set up to be absolutely everywhere that T-Mobile is but if they're in the same area they will rent space on T-Mobile towers in order to improve service. I'd try AT&T first (30 day trial period) and if you dont like it return it (within 30 days) and try T-Mobile (only 14 days trial). And hopefully one of them will work.

they are two of the top competing cell phone providers in the U.S. they both offer nationwide coverage and plans to fit everyone. but u have to go with the one that works best in your area. tmobile has great phones an the new 5 faves that allows you to pick 5 people and talk to whenever. at&t doesnt offer that. but they do offer more than 63 million people on there network that u can talk to for free with their mobile to mobile callin feature. tmobile offers their rate plans at a more reasonable price than at&t but that is no good of the service where you are is not as great as the other company....
they both have great phones, tmobile's are a bit cheaper when signing a 2yr contract.i have at&t because where i stay there is tmobile, but they dont have many towers in the country area in the south where i stay and at&t does and i have always had a great signal everywhere i go.. but check out the coverage map on each providers website for a street to street map on what areas areas are covered

I've had T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon and AT&T. AT&T is absolutely the best, to me! That's who I have now. I'd recommend them any day. Sprint's service is horrible. I can't say too much bad about the other two, but I still prefer AT&T, the reception is great! Hope this helps.

This really depends on where you live to find out who has the best coverage in your area go to http://www.cellreception.com and put in your zip code.
AT&T has rollover which is nice
Tmobile has more minutes for less money

even though the rate plans and prices are alot better with tmobile i heard they are really strcit with their credit checks and also that their reception/service is horrible! my cousin couldnt even get reception in his own room. i have at&t and they get ya with the added taxes and fees but the service is better. i guess it just depends on if you want good service or if you wanna pay less for more
