I don't know how long she had it in there because when I found it, she had already taken it out. It's a 300 dollar phone, we don't have a house phone, and I don't have insurance on it because I've never had problems with any of my previous phones. Whenever I turn it on it says "use genuwine battery. --power off-- then it counts down to 1 and freezes. I can't afford to buy a new one so I'm freaking out. I've already tried putting it in a bag of rice to draw all the moisture out, any other suggetions?

Certainly, your phone unfortunately though is cooked. Corrosion damage massacres any electronic device. However though cell phone retailers will encourage you to purchase a brand new phone(Probably the most expensive one at that) you can get away with buying a prepaid phone. If you have Cingular just slip your Sim card into the new phone and TADA! You're set. If you have Verizon or Sprint it's even more convenient. Just call them up let them know you need to do what is known as an ESN swap. They'll walk you through the process. Hope that helped ya.

open everything u can. leave it out in a warm dry place for a few days. it really must get really dry. then try again.

blowing it with a hair dryer will get the major wetness off but not the rest of it. that take time. and u can't see that wetness.

you might need to buy a new battery that would be like 30 bucks or it might be totaled and you need to get rid of it.If it was in very long you might have killed something important inside it.

p.s before you get rid of it kinda whack it off a table lightly that might fix the problem.

dip it in rubbing alcohol, the alcohol will not harm the electronics, although it may make the outside of your phone discolor depending on what it is made of
