We just landed then flew back home on this joy ride.

I got to thinking, yeah, it is convenient to fly to a place but how to get around after you are there. There are no cabs or rent-a-cars at this airport. There is a bus shuttle just to the rim.

Perhaps stowing a folding bicycle?

I am sure in most places it is rentals, cabs, and shuttles. Just wanted to know if there are other options I have missed?

Comparing line costs for aircraft for potential new operations.
I would consider thr Cessna 337, P337, and of course, the wonderful Riley Rocket. Data is really what I need
I am going to be conservative and not post my web address. Atleased nof for the moment, I'm not quite sure that I can do it but, inevitably, some one will give us the 411. Bear with me until we have the permission to pit my self out on a line.

I once flew through a storm and the lightning was occurring not so far. I guess if lightning strikes an engine, the plane will fall.

A while back I asked if the wings ever fall off Cessna 150s and I got some joking replies. I expected that.

However, I did find a few instances where the wings did fall off of a 150 in flight. (Nearly always in a uncontrolled flight.)

This is the latest:

I am not for sure, but from what can I ascertain is that the pilot lost control of the aircraft in a fog and in the ensuing dive the stresses exceeded airframe parameters and the wings tore off. I guess it does happen!

Am I reading the report right?

Fact or Fiction?

2 Boeing employees on the airfield decided to steal a life raft from one of the 747s. They were successful in getting it out of the plane and home. Shortly after they took it for a float on the river, they noticed a Coast Guard helicopter coming towards them. It turned out that the chopper was homing in on the emergency locator Beacon that activated when the raft Was inflated. They are no longer employed at Boeing.

Yahoo! Answers is great but I am always trying to form informal conversations and this forum & format is not for that.

Any suggestions for a more informal, back-and-forth place to "shoot the bull" with aviation people?
