If the stock market is driven by supply and demand, and the price of a stock is goverened by the amount of supply vs demand at any given time, and there are two sides to every trade in which for every buyer there must be a seller and vice versa, why then does a stock rise or fall? Shouldn't it be in equilibrium since this is the case?

Example being yesterday.....a huge "sell-off"....if for every stock people were trying to dump there had to be a buyer to get rid of it, why did the market tank instead of go up?

in the USA to have their money held by a foreign bank? Would that mean interest and charges made by the bank to it's customers in the US be going indirectly to Argentina? Are there any US owned banks or have they all become foreign owned?

I seem to recall offers in the past to invest in film production or buy a share. Some even offered a role as an extra or invite to premier as an extra incentive. Are there any schemes out there for small investors in films?

NAV was "delisted" last month and is now trading on pink sheets-
HMM. NAVZ = NAVISTAR = International trucks*
Supplier of The thousands of new "UP" armored tractor trailers being shipped to IRAQ, Afganistan, Balkins , Saudia Arabia, Kuwait, oh OH OH I could go on and on. BUT the point is "THEY"

therefore NYSE decided to "DELIST" them OH how unfourtuanate for Navistar and secret investers Now they can do what they want without any interferance. Oh by the way, Navistar just got the bid for The Marines "New" tactical Light fighting vehicle wow, am I the only one to see this? Of course "they" will come and kill me in my sleep. ??

I've heard several different recommendations on what my 401k allocations should be. I've got things pretty set, but I'm trying to decide whether or not I should have bonds in my account. I'm 23 right now, so I know I have some time to be aggressive before I need to start worrying about security.

What are your thoughts? Bonds or no bonds?

I heard from a broker on the radio, that the market can react faster than human regulators can react to it, thereby letting situations like wild selloffs or panics to go on longer or dig deeper than they otherwise would. Like China today(2/27) selling off 9% of it's Shanghai market causing the US market to crash a little. He said if humans were watching the mining sector(Alcoa) panic sell off, it wouldn't have affected the market as bad. I'm not real knowledgable about this subject at all.

I know nothing about it but would like to follow certain companies. How does one find out the call letters (or whatever they call them that they are listed as) for a number of companies? Is all daily stock info listed on the internet? Is there a low limit as to how much one can buy stock with?
