I was watching CNBC last week in the morning and they credited an episode of Mad MOney for causing a 4 point gain in Cisco Systems stock. I know that this show is watched by many, but does he really have that much influence? What do the brokerage houses and professionals think of his advice????

Looking for information on becoming an independent investment advisor. Looking for a reliable website or information I should be aware of the pro's & con's that an independent investment advisor would need to compare with. Any questions that I should be asking to sound companies that support independent brokers. I have over 21 years of experience in the finance industry and want to go independent, but don't really know much about the independent side of becoming an agent. Need help on deciding what to look for in companies that does support independent brokers/advisors. I'm 7 & 63 license and also aware that I'll need my 65 to become an advisor but that's not a problem. Will be currently studying for the 65 w/i the next 3 mo. Thanks ahead of time for any reliable info. to help me make this decision.
