I was watching a Bobbie Brown video segment on how to choose the perfect lip color for your lips, and she said that if a color made your lips look ashen, then its not the right one. I know that if lipstick looks plain weird with my skin tone, I wouldn't use it, but what exactly does ashen mean? I've also seen this used when talking about what colors for clothing look best on your skin.

Thanks! =]

I'd like a consultation because you wanna know what make up would suit you. I buy Chanel / Max Factor cosmetics and they are good, but every time I ask Avon to call the one they keep putting to me wants to visit when convenient for her. Fair enough, but I just want to get it sorted. Are MAC Cosmetics any good in the actual store, or should I just ask the girls on teh Chanel desk? This is to help me look more feminine when I go our dressed as a woman, so you know, cheap make up or poor advice won't cut it !!

I'm really pale, and i mean really pale. I love it, the only problem is, i have freckles on my face and sometimes get belmishes. I need a really really pale foundation and all the ones i've tried so far go like a pinky colour and my neck is really white so my face and neck never match! I've been to specialists and wasted money on pale foundations that some have recomended and they still arn't as white as my neck.
Any suggestions?
