..would you wear clothes from nike or abercrombie old navy etc....if they were just clothes from like wal mart with no "brand name" on them...?

I'm going to have to CUT it for a costume so I don't want to spend too much money on it. I haven't had any luck finding a cheap long sleeved and plain nightgown/shirt. Here's an example of what I want:

I want to sew a long tunic with 3/4 sleeves. I've seen them in stores and I think I want to make one with an empire waist where it ties into a bow in the back. I've checked several websites for patterns, but many seem to have old styles. Anybody know of any websites where they might have some patterns?

I'm noticing logos on increasingly ridiculous stuff, and I don't get it -- who is paying more money for ugly tube socks with a Hilfiger, Nike, &c brand/logo on them? They definitely aren't "designer," and the quality usually seems pretty unimpressive.

When I see somebody all decked out in a pile of visible logos, I think:
