I took a picture of a dark brown signpost. It's one of those new touristy signposts. Behind it is a field. The sky was partially overcast.

The sky was overexposed and the signpost is very dark. I tried gamma correction but the whole picture becomes either too bright or too dark. I tried to reduce the contract, which helps bring out details in the clouds, but the picture has a greyish tint. Changing brightness levels does the same.

Is there any way I can improve the picture? I am using freeware image manipulation software (IrfanView and Serif PhotoPlus 6).

Thanks.

I was an art gallery exhibition last week and I had my work in it along with other peoples' art. There was a table where the woman served drinks. I came up to the table and smiled at her, waited patiently. She just ignored me and carried on a conversation with an older man like I wasn't there. I waited 5 minutes and I smiled at her and she glanced at me and continued talking. Other people came and she immediately stopped talking and served them. I never met her in my life, but when I came up to get a drink, I ended up serving myself. She said that she knew who I was but she was unfriendly and cold. By the way everyone in there was caucasian and I was the only asian american there. Is she just stuck up or is it subtle racism?

I've been looking at "The Art Institute of Indianapolis". They have schools all over the country, but I can't tell if they are actually a good school or if they're a joke in the art world.

I'm looking for albums to store my family pictures. These should be nice, acid-free, bound albums. I would like something that has bidirectional photos, but a variety of different layouts and pages.

There have been many controversaries about this topic. Many believe the concept "beauty {or art} is in the eye of the beholder" but others believe that "porn is porn is porn, no questions asked."
Is their a line that exists between displaying sexual passion and the beauty of the nude? (Food for thought)

Yeah, yeah, they're mine. I work in many different styles. Some you'll probably like. Others you may hate.

Click on the image to enlarge it.

But it's always nice to get feedback from fellow artists.

I saw this painting at an exhibit at the Denver Art Museum a few years ago and was struck by the symbolism. I do not know who the artist was and have been unable to find it anywhere online. I would really like to know the artist.

I am looking for this piece of art. It is a man sitting alone in a diner. It's as if you were across the dark street looking at him in a lit diner. The diner is on the right front of your view. It looks like it's a 50s or 60s time setting and could be a movie scene mad into art. Please help.
