Wrestling - December 2006

Does anybody remember the glory days of Memphis wrestling from the 70's and 80's. Jerry Lawler, Bill Dundee, Randy Savage, Eddie Gilbert, Jimmy Hart. Not to mention some new comers that made it to huge super-stardom, like the blade runner, now known as Sting. Monday night at the Mid-South Coliseum was great. If anybody remembers, please tell me your thoughts.

Chis Irvine (Jericho) is/was not only one of the best wrestlers of all time, but he was also in the top five best wrestlers on the mic. In my opinion he is not used well. He has been wrestling on HEAT for the last part of this year when he should be main eventing ppvs. He is a great wrestler, has fantastic athletic ability and not forgetting as a girl I see him as hot! I cannot see him as a heel (bad guy) cos of what he brought to ladder matches at recent wrestlemania's. His only problem is that he has no charisma. I think that WWE should turn him back to the (face) good guy and give him a manager that can do all the talking for him. This is what they did for Brock Lesnar. He was a fantastic wrestler with zero charisma so he had Paul Heyman as a manager to add charisma to him.

WWE has alot more talent then these 3 guys, yes i admit that they're young and they have potential but i don't think they've quite paid they're dues yet. They never got so over with the crowd that they should be champions main eventing wrestlemania. Cena should be a heel, batista needs to work on his mic skills and ability to connect with the crowd he's a big fast guy but if he can't wrestle at a high level then he needs charisma. Orton just does'nt have it, hiw wrestling and mic skills are just terrible and the only reason he gets pushed so hard is because he bob ortons son. Vince needs to wake up and keep the belts on guys like RVD and Benoit until these guys are ready to take over, right now its just too soon. What do you think ?

John Cena is someone i just cannot stand. Many reasons. First of all, he thinks he is all Chaingang. But that is his business. Second, he is getting boring and he is being shoved in our faces while we are trying to turn away from him. It is crazy how far the WWE would actually go to advertise someone who has supposedly 'raised' ratings. That is a different story which i will talk about in my future questions.

I would say i like Shawn Michaels a lot. He is so awesome. Especially in the 90s. I am quite disappointed that he is in DX right now while i can do a great job entertaining me being alone. His jokes with DX are too much for me. Anyway, in my opinion he is the best sports entertainer at the moment. Even though he is getting old. He was the first one for nearly everything and he had a great prime time.

What do you think of Shawn Michaels, do you like him, hate him or love him?
