I'm not american, I'm from South America and when i moved here I started playing soccer and after I while I found out that mostly all americans hate soccer even some of my teammates, all they would do was talk about basketball,baseball, and football but never soccer, that's why i hardly talk to my team mater at all. All I ever hear about soccer from americans is 'soccer is the stupidest sport out there' even though SOCCER IS THE #1 MOST POPULAR SPORT ON EARTH...so why aren't Americans interested in soccer?

I found the thread in the Mexican section hilarious. Mexicans still basing claims of greatness on the 1970's and 80's. Guess what? Its 2007. Start basing your views on facts and not "latin pride". Here are the facts. Since 1998 the US has a record of 9-1-2 against Mexico. Not only do the triple Mexicos victory total but they have outscored Mexico in those games 16-3, thats right USA 16....Mexico 3? (I listed all these games and their date, score and location in a previous post but somebody had the post deleted out of embarrassment) Still think you are dominant, please post your ignorance below....... The local channels put great interest in american football (NFL) and baseball, and very little coverage in mega sports cast. Such as ESPN, ABC, NBC, etc. The Spanish channels have great Mexican coverage but nothing beyond. MLS coverage is very minute. We often hear about "soccer moms" and their kids playing the game but that is all.
