Is the westren conference of the NBA is getting stronger and the eastren conference getting weaker?

I know that Allen Iverson is traded to Denver because Carmelo Anthony and JR Smith gone suspended because the brawl last saturday. With the addition of Iverson, is the westren conference is getting too strong.

Anyone besides me think the Nuggets made a bad deal?

Please dont answer this if you dont even know much about basketball other than the fact that Iverson scores alot. Because the Denver Nuggets are doing well right now and possibly will continue to do better even in the playoffs, but they took a risk bringing AI to their team which was already looking pretty good. AI can score, but he cant pass like Andre Miller, and at this stage it would be better for them to have a playmaker than another scorer who might have problems with Melo. Yeah sure the Nuggets may 'seem' unbeatable with AI but they took a big risk bringing him to a team that is already doing well.
