I've been learning German for about 7 months now, and my main source of studying is using sets of flashcards that contain about 60 words, after a week I get a new stack of 60 words. I dont know any other way to practice without using the flashcards. Do any of you language learners know any other activites I can do other than learning with flash cards??? I do live in Germany, but I cant go out and talk to Germans everday.

Thanks for the Help!!

INGREDIENTS
480 g melted shortening
625 g all-purpose flour
15 g anise extract
250 g white sugar
0.6 g ground cinnamon
72 blanched almonds

DIRECTIONS
Preheat the oven to 250 degrees F(120 degrees C).

Combine the flour, sugar and cinnamon together. Add the melted shortening until all is mixed in well. Stir in the anise and knead for 5 minutes. Roll into 1 inch balls and place on an ungreased cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Place a blanched almond on top of each cookie and push down slightly.

Bake at 250 degrees F (120 degrees C) for 30 minutes. You do no want to brown the cookies. They should remain pale. Let cookies cool on cookie sheet for 30 minutes.
