Sanchez reveling to the Hispanic/Latino community in America that they too came to the Americas fleeing religeous persecution just like the English Pilgrims, Quaker, Sabbatarian and Puritan Christians. Many of them fled the Inquisition that followed them to Mexico and lasted up into the 1800s to the United States in the SouthWest. Many of them were the lower class in Mexico because the aristocratic families kept track of thier lineage and surnames so they would not intermarry with them. I also read about this in a two volume English version of Mexican history under "Conversos". Do some research on the internet using "conversos", "cryto-jews" and "marronos" to see what you will find.

Does anyone else hate it when black people harass other people because of their backgrounds and cultures. The other day I saw a black woman telling another woman to go back to her country. Someone obviosly didn't tell this woman that the native Americans were here first and we are all imigrants. I hate racist people in general but when a black person is racist, it just angers me more. Black people should know how it feels to be singled out so why do some of them insist on being racist and harassing others?

Should America apologize to African Americans for enslaving their ancestors?
Should Africans (not African Americans) be compensated for slavery?
If not, what about the Native Americans who were slaves?

And what about the Native Americans who held slaves?

What can be done by America today to make-up for its murderous past ? Anything? Nothing?

Is this whole conversation long overdue? Or should it just be ignored since it happened so long ago?

For the record, African American DOES JUST MEAN AFRICANS BORN IN AMERICA! It also means blacks that can trace their hertiage to africa, beside, All blacks CAN be traced there, even the ones born in uk, canada, and germany, etc! No one DIDN'T MAKE IT A CRIME TO CALL YOURSELF EUROPEAN-AMERICAN. It's just a state of mind that that's a bad thing. There's nothing wrong with calling yourself European-american or irish-american. You just don't call yourselves that because you don't want too. So, what's the excuse now??
