Ugly Betty is the darling of the Hollywood awards scene these days. The story of an intelligent but plump clueless fashion victim making it big in the fashion industry. Isnt it hypocritical of Hollywood to celebrate the show when Hollywood itself is the epitome of skinny walking dead and Hollywood itself is an ad for anorexia?

But since the McCanns case has been on the news for 4 months, mainly in Portugal and the United Kingdom, it ocurred to me to ask...

Why do people always ask me this? And, just for the record, I'm working on a bachelor's of science degree. So..I'm going to BE a scientist. I LIKE science...a lot.

But..seriously, there may well BE a scientific explanation for being GLBT, but why don't you hear people ask for the scientific explanation for...I dunno....being goth? being emo? being a skater? being a prep? being Paris Hilton?

Why can't people just accept that that's their disposition? That's who they ARE?

Oh and for the record...when you GET the scientific explanation, you won't believe it. Trust me..I've been in the science field too long. When scientists release information, it doesn't make the news right away unless it's BAD news, in which case the media will overdramatize and make it horrendous. It's always been that way...true science has always taken a back seat to the REAL issues...you know, like what Brad and Angelina are going to name their millionth kid or whatnot.

Isn't that wrong? Why would someone want to be a sex slave or an errand slave and be humiliated? That is not love. My opinion though. What is yours?
