I have only ever been to Portugal once and it was the best holiday my family and I have had. We found the people laid back, friendly, helpful and some were quite amusing.

You got a great country there and I don't think the McCann problem will have any bearing on our opinions.

I know that your Country is Englands oldest ally. I think the local Police have let the McCanns and indeed the rest of us down somewhat. Why should i regard Portugal or the Portugese and differently than I did before> I look forward to my first visit to your Country

There is nothing wrong with Portugal or the Portuguese people. they can not be blamed for the fact that a couple of stupid holiday makers chose to go out on the p*ss rather than look after their kids.

I have only been to Portugal once and the people I met were all friendly and nice. Love your food too!
I haven't been influenced by the news as can only form an opinion yourself and not by what you read in the papers!

"in the time of WWII between the worldwide places that tried to peacefully face as much as the Nazi holocaust advance into Portugal and the King of Portugal helped shelter lots of the Jews that Spain's Francisco Franco tried to deport to Germany, and a few who fleed from Nazi Europe." in this time we had a president no longer a king, we advance right into a republic in 1910. each and every thing else I agree. to E3, timor have been given independence from Indonesia no longer Portugal we supply them independence interior the 1970's. and you're a starting to be u . s . especially in crime, a huge determination of crimes in Portugal are achieved by immigrants and maximum of them from brazil. i like brazilians and that i've got plenty as buddies yet you're actually not any saints and would this is distinctive if we staid longer, we can in no way comprehend. i did no longer supply you thumbs downs because of the fact its your opinion and that i appreciate it.

not particularly ,i think the british think they always know best and interfere with things too much. If it wasnt for the british media perhaps the portugese police would have had an easier time investigating

I was reading an article about where stars go on holiday yesterday and a top star in Britain said he went to Portugal on holiday to the Algarve, parked his hire car up and when he went back laterthe police were charging all the tourists £50 for illegal parking,he said they were very aggressive and threatening to lock people up if they didn.t pay.

None of the Portugese parked there were asked to pay and there were no restrictions on parking in place, says it all really doesn't it.
