The interior of the earth is extremely hot: eventually we reach molten iron!
Why can we not simply dig down until it gets hot enough, and build a heat engine as a power source.

Is it just an economic issue, that it isn't efficient to dig such a deep hole? Or is it technically impossible to dig an immensely deep hole, given the pressures involved?

Are there really people out there who believe that the world is only 6000 years old? Are there people who are so out of touch that they will accept anything without applying rational thought? And how can they, with any conscience give this as an answer to young children asking the questions.

i am just a simple mason when i was young my grandfather gave me magnets to play with from time to time now i lay awake at night thinking they will be are most reliable sorse of reusable energy as if to put them in a circle and watch them chase each other controled and harnessed in disscusing this with someone he tried to teach me of plasma energy but i cant get it in laymans terms i have a seven year old boy and one day i would like him to be a thinker please help me to understand this topic and other typs of reusable energy sourses
