I'm in my 50s. Divorced. Nust about to sell my own business. I've decided it's time I had some time for me and fancy the adult version of a gap year. I dont want bar work but some sort of overseas volntary work (with children) may be good. Any ideas on what I could do and who I could contact? Is this a good idea?

I lived on a big estate and the kids would all meet up in the park to play British bulldogs, we d batter each other but all in the name of fun!
We d also ride about in packs on bmxs , commandos and chopper bikes, wearing are jackets by the hood only.

I'm looking for a bare essentials trip. A do it yourself camping trip. I'm only planning on going for a couple days and coming with 2 other people. The trouble is, I don' know where to do this. I live in L.A. and am only aware of state/national parks. I don't want to run into any problem with rangers or anything. Any suggestions? Am willing to drive a few hours to get there. -thanks

I normally go to the movies with about 8 of my friends including myself (maybe a boy or two) but im a little bored with going to the movies for my birthday party. I was going to go mini golfing but i thought that the balls might be thrown around and it would turn out horrible. what did you do for you're 14th birthday party or something you did for your 15th or 16th (and so on..) birthday parties? I need a ideas for my party and i would prefer not to do a dance kind of thing but something that would be so memorable. I live in Ct and my birthday is in october so it needs to be something that corresponds with the weather. Also i dont have a low budget and i would prefer a larger group of coed friends to a small group of only girl friends.
