British Bulldog was banned in my schools for being too dangerous, but I loved playing Red Rover! We also played Kick-the-Can, like Hide and Seek but you had to hide and then try and sneak back to a specific point where there was a marker (generally a can) and kick it, without the seeker seeing you. That was great fun!

I used to play chinese jump rope. It's the jump rope that was elastic and had to go around two peoples ankles. A third person had to do specific moves. They had to jump inside the box, outside thebox, to one side of the box, to the other side of the box, on the box, back inside the box, and then out of the box. Every time you complete the set of moves the elastic band went a little higher up the body. It became more difficult. You could not touch the rope other than to land on it during a specific move. It was a lot of fun. We used to love hopskotch a lot too. I agree with you, those were the days.

Please Mr Crocodile can we cross the water to see your baby daughter in a cup and saucer upside down, played over a 'gap' with one person as the crocodile who would reply 'only if you're ; wearing red, have brown hair etc' and then have to catch people who cross so that they are out
My sister and I also used to make up treasure hunts for each other, I had a cooker that I would have out in the garden in good weather and cook with the plants and mud I found. We also had the best dress up box in our neighbourhood!

Don't know the name in English. We used to play a game of two teams and a ball. One team would split in half and stand facing each other a few meters apart holding the ball. The other team would stand in between them.
The first team would pass the ball back and forth between them trying to touch members of the opposing team with it. If the ball touched a member of the second team they would be out of the game.
If the ball was caught by a member of the second team before it hit the ground that team would get a lifeline and could bring back a member of their team who was out.

when we were kids in my close we used to get together on the front gardens and play making people laugh. we used to do a dip to see who had to choose who did the funniest thing then everyone got 5 minutes (but it was more like 2) to make that person laugh.
or we would play tiggy bob down
or different kinds of where we would say different kinds of clothes or cars or sweets then if yours got picked you had to run across the road. the fastest against the person who was on.
me amd my bro were sat in a pub with his mates the other week laughing our heads of and none of his mates understood what we were on about!

Stuck In The Mud, it was a variation on Tig (Tag) when someone was caught they had to stand stock still with their legs apart. Anyone not caught could free someone else by running through their open legs. It was usually played in a smallish arena so it could be (and was) pretty intense.
