I'm signing up to WoW tonight and was just wondering, does this game involve any skill or is it just "put your time in and advance levels"?
A game like Quake 3 arena is all about skill. Now, how much time you need to put into the game in order to obtain that skill is different among people.
It seems to me that you can't really be "good" at WoW. Just put your time in and advance levels and everyone makes fun of you because you spend 5 hours a day online.
Am I way off here?
I want to be psyched about the game but it just seems like mundane, repetitive crap where you just need to spend insane amounts of time in order to "get good" when in reality you aren't "good"...you're just showing everyone how much time you spend online.
At least with Q3 I can say "I'm good" and no one really knows how much time I have spent playing it (and in fact, a true gamer wouldn't even need a lot of time to get good at such a game...whereas WoW any dolt can play it and be worshipped).
